暑いですね～～～～～～～～～！
言うのもなんですが・・・・とにかく、暑い！
しかも、この部屋にはエアコンないので、もう、熱風の吹く扇風機ひとつで涼をとりながら、水の入ったコップを傍にこれを書いてます。
家にいても、これじゃ、熱中症になっちゃう・・・(・_・;)
でも、イベントも終わってほっと一安心、今日も元気に過ごしています。
ということで・・みなみなさま、ユスフ先生とエピゾ先生のワークショップと公演は無事に終わりました。
神様に見守られ、みんなの愛と協力によって、良い週末になったと思います。
そして、沢山学びました。
ありがとうございました。
公演の写真は、残念ながら私自身が舞台に立っているためほとんどありませんが（ケータイのほうにあるかもしれないので、あとで見てみます）ワークショップ中の写真が少しありますので、アップします。
It is soooooooooooooooo hot here in Japan.
Definitely over 95 degrees!
And I am feeling completely unproductive but thought I shall put up some of the photos from Youssouf/Epizo’s workops.
Unfortunately,I don’t have photos of the performances since I myself was up on the stage as well 😉
But when I get hold of them from someone (may be my cousin)I will put them up.
It was very hot during the workshop weekend but at the shrine where we had the classes, there was cool breeze and it felt so sweet, protected, watched over by the gods.
海辺でストレッチのつもりでしたが、時間オシオシであまり時間がとれず。しかも・・・・暑い！8時半や9時なんて時間帯は、もう、真昼と同じ感じ。だから、もし、もしも次回があるとしたら・・・6時半くらいにやらないと無理だな、と分かった次第でした。でも、海は、きれいで、人気もなくとても気持ちのいい時間でした。
We were supposed to have time to stretch and warm up on the beach in the morning. But by 8:30 or 9:00 in the morning, it was so hot we could barely sit on the sand… but it was beautiful and peaceful.
ユスフ先生の最初のダンスクラス。まだ、それほど生徒さんは集まっていませんでしたが、楽しそうなクラスでした。場所は須佐神社（今井祇園）の神楽殿。公演もやった場所です。ずっと前からひとびとが舞いを待ってきた床は、なにかパワーがあります。The first class by Youssouf. There weren’t too many people yet but they seemed to have good time. This floor is for the traditional Japanese dance and have been used by people for generations. It has a special spirit.
このおばあさんは、偶然来られた方。いつも、遠方からお参りにきているそうです。息子たちの学業向上のために、裏の神殿の一部を建造寄付したそうです。ユスフ先生のダンスクラスを見ていたく感動してくれ、太鼓の音に聞き入り、「帰りたくないわねぇ。ずっとここにいたい。」と言いながら、しばらくおしゃべりして、名残惜しそうに帰って行かれました。This old lady stopped by without knowing that there was African workshop. She was so happy to see something special and kept saying “I wish if I could stay here for ever. The dance and music makes my heart jump and happy!” It was so sweet./p>
ちびっこたちも参加。実は、彼ら、わたしの英語クラスの生徒たち。この日は、本当は英語クラスがある日だったのですが、わたしがこちらで忙しかったのと、異文化経験してほしかったので、ダンスクラス参加しました。初めての経験にみんな一生懸命。Little kids participated, too. Actually, they are my English class students. I have classes on Fridays which is the day Youssouf had his first classes. So… I decided they should have a special cross cultural experience! They sure did, I think…
エピゾ先生のドラムクラス。こちらも最初は参加者が少なかったですが、少しずつ増えてゆきました。難しかった～って言う声も沢山ありましたが、終わった後のみんなの表情は満足げでした。The students said the drum classes were a little too hard for them but in general they seemed very happy and satisfied.
街から来たダンスチームのアイドルイっちゃんは、見つけたカマキリを怖がりながらご執心。きゃ～こわ～い！！と言いながら、見る～～～、を繰り返してました。好奇心にはいつもちょっとした怖さとワクワクが一緒。そして、それに付き合って隣りにいるのは、いつも一緒の恋人タンタン。
Our dance team idol, “icchan” was scared and fascinated by a bug that he found…! He kept saying “I am scared!” and “I wanna see it more!” Well… aren’t we all like that when we meet something new??
ワークショップ最終日には、人も増え・・・とうとう、神楽殿に先生がおさまりきらなくなって、下で踊って見せました。この日は、カフェでチラシを見てきました、と飛び入りの地元の方がいらっしゃって・・・・嬉しかったです。By the end of the weekend.. the classes were full and Youssouf had to dance on the ground.
ワークショップ最終日には、思い思いに記念写真を撮ったり、おさらいしたり、先生に質問したりして・・・名残惜しい時間を過ごしていました。People taking photo with the teachers, practicing the steps they just learned, asking questions… the last day of the workshop.
楽しい3日間はあっという間に過ぎ・・・・数日前に出迎えに行った駅に、また送りにゆきました。お疲れ様でした。そして、この小さな町に来てくれて、ダンスと音楽の技とその喜びを伝えてくれてありがとう。The fun weekend passed in a wink! I took them to the station where I picked them up only a few days ago… thank you Youssouf, thank you Epizo, thank you every one to come to this small town to share your knowledge and joy of dance and music.
・・・・が、イベントが終わっても仕事は終わらないのが主催の常。翌日も、片づけに追われました。まずは、テントにたまった雨を振り落し、テントの解体。But… the reality is even after the workshop is over, our work is not over.Here we are trying to put down the tents.
太陽ギラギラ The hot sun in the muddy water.
汗びっしょりになりながら、焼けそうに熱くなっているテントを「アツ、アツ！」って言いながらたたみました。It again was a very hot day and the tent was burning! We were sweating like crazy.
休憩して、コーラやいろいろ飲んでたら、近所で鶏が鳴いて、向こうにお墓も見えて・・・映画のひとシーンに入ったようで、なんだかとってもシュールな感じがしましたが、きっと、地元の方々にはこれがとっても「現実」なんだな～とふと思ったのでした。As we took a short break, I heard chickens crying near by and saw grave yard in the back ground. It was so surreal and I felt like I was in some kind of movie scene but then I realized it was very REAL…!
綺麗に隅々まで掃き清めて・・・We swept and swept…
ゴミも残さないようにひとつひとつ丁寧にして・・・最後にお参りして帰りました。
After cleaning up the whole place, we did prayers and thanked gods for protecting us and giving us such beautiful time.
若くて寡黙な宮司さんですが、全面的に協力してくれ、とてもとても感謝しています。おかげ様で、良い時間が過ごせました。わたし自身も木々の中で良い時間が過ごせましたが、参加者や出演者の方々から、「大切なものを思い出しました」「忘れていたなにかを取り戻しました」「木々の中で踊って大地と再び繋がれたような気がしました」とメールやメッセージをいただきました。ありがとうございました、宮司さん。そして、神様。
He is the young priest of this old traditional shrine which is said to be here more than a thousand years.. he is very quiet usually and does not say too much. But he is in fact an open minded sweet heart. I thank him for giving us such an opportunity and supporting us all the way.
